40 Berry
Under Construction
Brooklyn, New York
These new volumes are composed of vertical spandrel and clear glass units with a clear anodised aluminium framing. The spandrel colors echo the brick and terra-cotta of nearby buildings, with a specific color being denoted to each spandrel size. The resulting effect is an homage to the more traditional patterning and mottled appearance of the natural masonry and stone buildings of the neighborhood.

The brick, dark in color and rough in texture, is used as back drop to these volumes, acting as a base, counterweight and connector to the asymmetry of the composition of the glass.
